Chandra Chase
Founder of Reshaping Role Models

Chandra Chase, a former international plus-sized model represented by one of the top plus-sized modeling agencies in the US, is currently developing a nonprofit: Reshaping Role Models.

In combination with her experience in the plus-sized modeling industry, her degree in Public Affairs, and her experience working for a nonprofit and an image development firm, she is creating a organization that will address the following issues:

  • Girls in middle school and high school in the US do not have plus sized idols.
  • Plus-sized women are not well represented in American culture.
  • Internationally we use less plus models in advertising campaigns and magazines.
  • There are no statistics backing up the buying power of plus sized women.
  • There is no support structure for rising stars in music, acting and journalism for plus sized women.
  • There is no agency which formally recognizes progress by nonprofits, industry, media, etc with annual awards or a Seal-of-Approval.
  • Young students need to see by example, how size acceptance has changed through history, through a integrated early education program.

Invest the time to watch this short... Its important!
